Invite at least two witnesses and come to be wed, renew your vows or celebrate your engagement for a small fee! CEREMONY FEES: (Cash) Elopement ~ $50-$100 Vow Renewal ~ $225 Hand-Fasting Engagement ~ $100 (not a legal Wedding) ELOPEMENT-WEDDING REQUIREMENTS: 1) Each couple must be of legal age and in a loving and committed relationship. 2) Each couple must have a timely, legal, WA State Marriage License if you wish to be legally wed. If you are coming from Oregon, you can apply for a WA State Marriage License at the Clark County Auditors Office in Vancouver, WA. Here is a link to their page: Clark County Auditor for a WA State Marriage License. 3) Appointment is necessary. Call for availability! 4) Feel free to bring your own vows to share with your fiancee'. Otherwise, they will be provided. 5) Dress casual or in Wedding attire! NOTE: For an Elopement or Vow Renewal, I use a standard script that I have previously written. It is not available to be changed and will not be shared beforehand. Hand-Fasting Engagement Ceremony Explained: Sir Walter Scott referred to a "fictional sacred ritual" that bound a couple in a form of temporary marriage for one year and one day in his book "The Monastery": When we are 'Handfasted', as we term it, we are man and wife for a year and a day; that space gone by, each may choose another mate, or, at their pleasure, may call the priest to marry them for life; and this we call 'Handfasting'. In modern customs the length of time became variable rather than one year and one day. In recent years, some groups, coming almost full circle, started to use 'Handfasting' to mean a formal engagement to be married in the future. The Hand-fasting ceremony that I am providing is not a legally binding Wedding. It is meant as a promise of engagement or a vow to be wed, in spirit only, for one year plus one day by one person to another. As an Ordained Minister, Rev.
